Each month we will be putting some questions to one of the shops or businesses in town in order to get a look behind the shop front. In the coming months we hope to showcase the best that Bexhill has to offer.

1. Why did you get into this line of business?
I am still asking myself that question!
2. What makes you and your business distinctive?
We offer a range of quality healthy, vegetarian and organic snacks and sandwiches, homemade soup and freshly made smoothies. I also hope our quality of service makes us stand out.
3. What made you open up in Bexhill?
I was looking for a quieter pace of life and for less responsibility. This business [under the name “Coasters”] came on the market and I thought I’d finally give self-employment a go. Of course this meant even more responsibility, but hopefully it will be worth it.
4. What are your favourite things about Bexhill?
I love early morning walks on the beach when the tide is out, and feeling the Bexhill wind. I love being part of a ‘local community’, and having a building like the De La Warr Pavilion on my doorstep. I also really like the fab new card & gift shop new ‘Destination’ on Sackville Road.
5. What are you hopes for the future?
For people to enjoy what c-side has to offer. Oh, and to stay afloat!
