Each month we will be putting some questions to one of the shops or businesses in town in order to get a look behind the shop front. In the coming months we hope to showcase the best that Bexhill has to offer.
April 2007: Jenny, White Wave Crafts
1. Why did you get into this line of business?
Throughout all of my years of travelling the country as a clairvoyant, I carried with me the dream of one day having my own shop. The snap decision to put it into practice came after a scare on the motorway.
2. What makes you and your business distinctive?
8I think my business is different because of the wide range of stock I carry and because of my vast knowledge of matters spiritual and psychic.
3. What made you open up in Bexhill?
I first opened a shop on Hastings pier because it was re-opening after being closed for many years and I saw it as an entirely new venture. My move to Bexhill came when Hastings council closed the pier. At this time I moved to Bexhill as it is my home town.
4. What are your favourite things about Bexhill?
Bexhill is a slower pace of life, and since opening I have been surpirsed how many spiritually- minded people I have met.
5. What are you hopes for the future?
I very much look forward to all of the building work in Sackville Road being completed, as I think this will put all of the traders in the area more on the map. And, of course, I hope my new shop does well and I make many new friends through it.
