Each month we will be putting some questions to one of the shops or businesses in town in order to get a look behind the shop front. In the coming months we hope to showcase the best that Bexhill has to offer.
December 2006: Sheila Davis, Tudor Kitchen
1. Why did you get into this line of business?
I think for the reason anyone gets into this line of business - because we like to cook. It’s wonderful when what you do is what you like doing.
2. What makes you and your business distinctive?
We offer traditional English cooking which seems to have gone out of fashion in many areas, using only good quality products and making sure we offer good value for money.
3. What made you open up in Bexhill?
We felt that the cooking from every part of the world was available but no-one seemed to be offering real English food, so we decided to open a good English eating experience.
4. What are your favourite things about Bexhill?
The people. We have found the people here to be warm and friendly, and have a lovely group of regulars who we always look forward to seeing.
5. What are you hopes for the future?
To be more succesful (obviously) and to keep the flag flying for proper English food.
