The United Nations Association (UNA) is the principal
non-governmental organisation in the United Kingdom
concerned to promote the principles of the UN Charter
and the role of the United Nations in international affairs.

Branch Purpose: To try to help turn the
ideals of the United Nations into reality

Diary of Events 2008

Saturday 23rd February

Branch AGM at 10am for 10:30am in the Garden Room at Sackville Road Methodist Church. (Enter through the gate next to the main church door in Sackville Road).

Saturday 17th May

Hazel Dawe, Chair: Green Party will speak on: Bali: what can the UN really do about climate change? Coffee from 10:30am, talk at 11am. Venue: Parkhurst Hall behind Sackville Road Methodist Church. (Enter through door in Parkhurst Road).

Bank Holiday
Monday 26th May

Coffee Morning and Open Organic Fruit and Vegetable Garden. 10am to 12 noon. 13 Thornbank Crescent, Bexhill-on-Sea TN39 3ND. Entrance £1.50 to include coffee and home made biscuits.

Saturday 20th September

UNA Roadshow: an exhibition explaining the work of the United Nations. 11am-3pm. Venue: Parkhurst Hall behind Sackville Road Methodist Church. (Enter through door in Parkhurst Road). Entrance FREE

11:30am - Docu-drama
Join us for an exciting presentation. A few UNA members, led by Sheila Kesby and Nigel gregory, will perform a drama to explain the works of the United Nations.

12:15pm - Questions and Answers

12:30pm - a Plougman’s Lunch is available for £2.50

2pm - 3pm - Discussion
Sheila Kesby will lead a discussion on how ordinary people can relate and influence the UN.
